Memex does not keep indexed pages after browser shutdown

Hey, it seems that with memex on Firefox Quantum (61) on NixOS, the addon is unable to keep the indexed pages after the browser restarts.

Importing however works as expected and i am able to search through the indexed pages  (both bookmarked and last seen) as long as the browser is not closed.

My Firefox config:

  • Version 61.0.1
  • Build ID 20180802005710
  • User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0
  • OS: Linux 4.17.11

Hey, it seems i was able to fix the issue by completely removing the addon and installing it again. For some reason, when i restart the browser after i performed a full import, it shows the `previous` number of imported pages, not the new one.

After pressing the refresh-button it works.

Before the re-installation i also was not able to press the refresh button, the "Recalculating Download Size." banner never went away (even after a couple of hours of waiting).

I am really looking forward to the "local backup" feature of my current imports to avoid having to re-crawl all my bookmarks (around ~6000).

You can mark the issue as "resolved", thanks!

Hey Makefu,

Sorry to hear that this does not work as expected. I will see if one of our team members has the same setup than you. It that may be due to your NixOS setup.

Do you have another system running too on which you can test if the behaviour is the same?
