autorefresh on overview page

On the chrome-extension page: //abkfbakhjpmblaafnpgjppbmioombali/options.html#/overview propose a possibility for the new records to appear automatically when the window is open (this makes it possible to check that the system works).

thanks for the input. That would unfortunately require a bit more work to get done and is not on our priority list at the moment. Just wanted to be transparent about it, but its a good idea. Would definitely improve the feel.

It seems as if behind that request there is another problem hidden?
Do you sometimes experience that the indexing does not work?

It's hard to know, I do not check every page ...

I just saw an example where the content of a page is not findable:
framapad.org (an etherpad.org instance), I'm talking about the content found in a kind of form but on this kind of page it's important to archive. (I think I already said elsewhere it would be nice to be able to see the content of the page indexed by Memex)

thank you for your work

I just checked and unfortunately Etherpad content is not properly extracted, as it is not scrapable with "document.body.innerText", which we use to get all the text content of an HTML Document. At this point I am afraid we also won't be able to provide support for this.

Also: be aware that a full-text indexing happens only after you have visited a page for at least 2 seconds. Title & URL are always indexed. You can change this in the settings.

We hope to be able to provide this with the snapshotting/Archiving features, but no timeline on this yet.
